Famous writer Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has condemned the incident of molestation at Greater Iqbal Park near Minar e Pakistan on the Independence Day.
However, he also rebuked the TikToker woman Ayesha Akram for adopting cheap tactics to gain followers and popularity on social media.
Khalil ur Rehman said that the incident was enough to bring shame upon the country for several years. Demanding exemplary punishment for all the men involved in the incident, he requested the law enforcers to also find out motives behind the incident. He said those who were unconditionally supporting the woman should be asked whether they would send any of their female family members to Minar e Pakistan for such an act with 7-8 boys.
The writer said the social media star had invited all those people there who were touching her while making videos for the social media platform.
He asked whether harassment was only when it was done by a male. Such girls should also be held accountable for harassing boys, he added. He said in our society a woman was treated with great respect and honor, but she would have to first act like a woman. He said giving flying kisses at a public place by a woman here was tantamount to harassment of men.
Khalil requested social media user girls not to sell their expensive honor for cheap popularity. “You have a great value. For God’s sake, these cheap tactics will push you towards a dungeon,” he said.
