SAPM Shahbaz Gill still on the payroll of American Public University
Islamabad: Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan Shahbaz Gill is still on the payroll of American Public University.
According to details, Prime Minister’s Spokesperson Shahbaz Gill did not declare his salary and employment in the American Public University in the Cabinet Division.
SAPM Shahbaz Gill has been appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
According to the university’s official response, Shahbaz Gul is teaching management and organizational behavior, marketing principles and retail sales principles.
As per the directive of the Prime Minister, all the Special Assistants to the Prime Minister and Adviser to the Cabinet Division are required to declare their assets and liabilities. However, he did not report to the Cabinet Division.
Nowhere in the asset and liability form issued by the Cabinet Division does it appear that Shahbaz Gill has declared his foreign salary or employment but he did own some property in Pakistan and a house in USA and some amount ($40,000 and Rs.11900000) is classified as receivable.
The asset and liability form issued by the Cabinet Division in July 2020 shows that Shahbaz Gill owns a plot number 406-Block-F, Gulberg Residencia, Islamabad, valued at Rs. 3956000. They also have another property Farmhouse No. 302-D Block, Gulberg Greens Islamabad. According to the statement of assets, Gill and his family have Rs 3.76 million in cash.
According to documents, he has more than Rs 2.6 million in local banks, more than Rs 31 million in JP Morgan Chase in the US, and Rs 1.6 million in a joint family account in the same bank. He owns the only property in US, which is on a mortgage worth Rs.13 million.
The documents reveal that the SAPM owns two cars (a BMW and a Camry) worth more than Rs 6.5 million. Gill also owns gold worth Rs 5.5 million with his family.
