“Sajal is one of Pakistan’s greatest actresses”: Shekhar Kapur
Indian filmmaker and the director of “What’s Love Got To Do With It?”, Shekhar Kapur lauded Sajal Aly for her brilliant onscreen performance at the Red Sea Film Festival.
The second edition of Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival took place on Thursday with a stellar night as global stars walked the coveted red carpet.
The team and cast of Jemima Goldsmith’s film “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” including Pakistani star Sajal Aly, Indian actor Shabana Azmi and director Shekhar Kapur attended the screening.
“Sajal,” he introduced the actor to the crowd and stated, “Do you know when you first came on the screen at the first showing, every man in the hall gasped. She’s one of Pakistan’s greatest actresses and she’s brilliant. Thank you very much, Sajal”.
Big names from the Indian film industry also attended the Red Sea Film Festival. Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Priyanka Chopra were also present at the renowned event.
