Saeed Ghani apologizes over his remarks against Karachiites

PPP leader and Sindh Labour Minister Saeed Ghani apologized to the people of Karachi for his statement which said that “the people of Karachi exaggerate their issues 100 times.”
A day ago, while talking to the media, Saeed Ghani put the responsibility of not solving the problems of port city on Karachiites and said that, “the people of Karachi exaggerate their issues 100 times.”
The provincial minister was severely criticized by PTI, JI, other political and social circles and social media users for his statement.
However, yesterday, Saeed Ghani apologized for his statement and said, “If my statement gave the impression that I am putting the responsibility of the situation of Karachi on the citizens, then I apologize for that.”
Speaking to a private news channel, Saeed Ghani said that, if people do not understand the problems of Karachi, then government cannot solve the problems.
“Development work is done with people’s money, if we don’t take care of these things, we will harm ourselves, if one party does a good job, the other parties mourn,” Ghani said.
The anchor asked that, “then you could have blamed other parties but you blamed the citizens.”
In response, Saeed Ghani said, “Let me apologize for the impression that I made all the citizens responsible for this.”
