PESHAWAR: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet in Peshawar on Tuesday (today) for sighting of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak moon.
Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will preside over the meeting. Provincial and district Ruet-e-Hilal committees would also simultaneously meet in their respective areas.
The meteorological department forecasted that weather will be clear in most of the areas and moon is very likely to be sighted today. It said the moon was born a day ago at 7:32 am and its life would be 35 hours by dusk today.
Abdul Khubair Azad said that Eid would be celebrated on the same day across the country. He said all the religious scholars including Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai had created an environment of brotherhood.
Sources said Shahabuddin Popalzai was also invited by the Ruet e Hilal body for moon sighting.
