Ruet-e-Hilal announces date for Eid-ul-Adha in Pakistan as Zil Hajj moon not sighted
Pakistan will celebrate Eidul Adha on July 10 (Sunday) as the the crescent of Zil Hajj 1443 Hijri has not been sighted anywhere in the country, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced on Wednesday.
The meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said that evidence of sighting of Zil Hajj moon has not been received from anywhere in the country and the first Zil Hajj will take place on July 1, 2022.
He said that Eid-ul-Adha would be celebrated on Sunday, July 10, 2022.
Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad said that we are trying to further strengthen the committee as a platform of unity and solidarity and carry forward the message of this unity while we will continue to strive to move forward together.
It may be recalled that last year Eid-ul-Adha was celebrated on July 21, 2021.
