Ruckus erupts at quarantine centres in Sukkur
SUKKER: A ruckus has erupted at quarantine centres in Sukkur after a voice note was circulated on Whatsapp with those staying there for treatment of coronavirus disease.
The zaireen were provoked by some unidentified elements against the preventive measures taken by the government. They were told that their meal was ready since 12:30 PM and it was not being provided to them. The zaireen are being stopped from getting out of the quarantine centres.
Police and rangers have surrounded Labour Colony where the Sindh government has set up quarantine centres.
All the people including suspects and those tested positive for coronavirus have gathered at one place in the vicinity of the quarantine centres.
The zaireen could be seen chanting ‘Labbaik Ya Hussain’. They have reportedly demanded from the authorities that volunteers of Imamia Students Organization (ISO) and Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan (MWM).
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and directed Inspector General Sindh Mushtaq Mahar to take strict action against those who incited the people for protest in such a critical situation.
