Pindi Bhattian, a city of Punjab has witnessed the ATM hack which resulted in hackers stealing away Rs5.8 million on Tuesday (today).
The unidentified hackers hacked into the Rs5,000 notes tray using a device. As soon as the device was connected to the ATM, the machine was under the control of hackers, sources from the bank have told the media.
The ATM connection with the bank was lost as soon as the hackers disconnected the device. This sent an alert to the bank after which a guard hurried to the ATM. But he found no one in the ATM.

Guard also discovered that the Rs5,000 tray was empty as hackers flew away from the crime spot with Rs5.8 million in cash.
The ATM has been sealed off by the authorities and the case investigation has also been started by the police to identify the hackers involved in the ATM theft.
