Speaking from the floor of National Assembly, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNA Shahida Rehmani said on Wednesday that a rodent bit her while sleeping at the Parliament Lodges.
“Look at my hand. A mouse has bitten me and I have been administered tetanus and anti-rabies injections,” the MNA said during parliament session.
Rehmani’s fellow parliamentarians also complained that there were large number of rats moving around the rooms. She exclaimed: “How long will this continue to happen?”
Responding to the MNA, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri said that he would ask the Capital Development Authority to ensure proper living arrangements at the Lodges.
