Rockets fired from Afghanistan on civilian population in Bajaur

BAJAUR: Multiple rockets have been fired from Afghanistan’s border area on the civilian population of Bajaur district, across the border, in Pakistan.

Unidentified assailants fired several rockets in Malakilli and Lughrai Bazaar areas of Bajaur. According to the sources, remains of the cylindrical projectiles had been recovered from a nearby village.

The inquiry into the incident is underway and an estimate of the losses is being gauged by the officials.

Moreover, a shop has been completely destroyed as a result of the rocket fire attacks. Pakistan Army responded to the attacks befittingly.

It may be noted that since a long time the civilian population of Bajaur district is being targetted in aggression from Afghanistan side.
