Rescue and relief operations continue in Balochistan and Azad Kashmir, rain-and-snow-hit areas.
A NDMA spokeswoman, Brigadier Waseem Uddin, told a media source that the authority is providing all appropriate assistance to the snow-rain victims in Balochistan and Azad Kashmir’s Neelum Valley.
The spokesperson said food, blankets and medicines are being given to the affected families.

A Muzaffarabad correspondent informs that Pak Army is also engaged in rescue and relief operations in Neelum Valley’s glacier and land slide-affected areas, in coordination with the civil administration.
There is also continuing search to find 12 missing persons at Surgan Valley. So far, 62 people have died and 60 patients are admitted to various hospitals. Three helicopters were active in the relief operations.
Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur says the victims of the rain and snow will not be left alone and the government will help them to immediately repair their homes for losses.
Speaking to a media source, he expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives and urged local administration to provide the people of affected areas with every possible aid and assistance.
