PESHAWAR: The Rescue 1122 has been expanded to 32 districts from 10 districts with the consent and support of the provincial government.
The rescue service stations have been increased from 27 to 92, revealed the organization in an annual performance report.
According to the Director General of Emergency rescue service, Dr Khateer Ahmad, Rescue 1122 has aided in rushing more than 3,000 Covid-19 victims to hospitals. While 80 rescuers of the service also contracted Covid-19.
Moreover, Rescue 1122 has rescued people in 32,000 traffic accidents, 77,000 medical emergencies and 3500 fire cases in Peshawar. Overall, 12 lac emergencies have been benefited from their service, said Dr Khateer Ahmad.
