Saudi Arabia has announced eligibility and requirements for the intending Umrah pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom.
The authorities through a statement announced the resumption of Umrah for international pilgrims from Muharram 1, 1443.
All countries have been allowed to send direct flights except for nine countries which include India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa and Lebanon. People from these nine countries will quarantine in a third country for 14 days before arriving in Saudi Arabia.
The pilgrims are required to get vaccinated against coronavirus with complete doses of either Pfizer, Moderna, Astrazeneca or J&J. While, people who have received doses of China’s vaccines will also be allowed to perform Umrah, however they would need to get a booster shot of either Pfizer, Moderna, Astrazeneca or J&J vaccine.
Those who are 18-year-old or above will be allowed to perform the religious ritual.
