Remittances rise to 31% higher this Sept than last year: PM Imran

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said despite Covid-19, there were good news for our economy.

In a tweet, he said remittances from our hardworking overseas Pakistanis rose to 2.3 billion dollars in September this year, which was thirty one percent higher than last September and nine percent higher than August this year.

“This marks the fourth consecutive month that remittances have remained above two billion dollars,” he said.

In Aug, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said remittances from overseas Pakistanis had reached 2,768.1 million dollars in July this year, which was the highest amount in one month in the history of Pakistan.

Sharing a good news about Pakistan’s economy in a tweet, he had said “This is 12.2 percent increase over June this year and 36.5 percent increase over July last year.”
