Renowned actor and comedian Akhtar Hussain, most famously known as Albela passed away 15 years ago the same day in 2004.

50 years of career, Albela performed in numerous films, television and theater plays. Some of his hit Punjabi films are Bharia Mela (1966), Badnam (1966), Baoo Ji (1968) and Ishq Nachaway Gali Gali (1984).

His play “Yay Beychaaray Log” became famous among people after it was performed frequently at the Bagh-e-Jinnah Open Air Theater.

Albela died due to heart failure but his legacy shall always live on.
