Pakistani actress, Reema Khan’s husband Dr Syed Tariq Shahab will be performing Umer Sharif’s high risk procedure at George Washington University Hospital.
Reema Khan posted a picture with Umer Sharif on Instagram and stated “Umer Sharif – one of the greatest comedians of the sub-continent and a real legend of all times. He always was working hard to make other people laugh and smile.”
“Today it disturbs me to know that he is in pain and distress because of his grave illness. I am proud of my husband – Dr Syed Tariq Shahab who has agreed to perform the high risk procedure and is helping the family in his transfer arrangements to America.”
She further added “I have requested him to do all he can to help Umer Sharif Sahib recover from this illness. Thank you Tariq I pray to Allah PAK to give Shifa in your hand and to give Umer Sahib full and complete recovery.”
Earlier, the government of Sindh announced Rs40 million for the comedian’s treatment and arranged an air ambulance for him.
The Indian film comedy king and actor Johnny Lever also expressed his best wishes for the speedy recovery of Pakistani comedy king Umar Shareef.
According to a report, actor Johnny Lever shared a video on social media in which he said that he was saddened to hear about the illness of Umar Shareef who made the whole world laugh.
The Indian actor expressed his best wishes for Umar Shareef and appealed to his fans to pray for the Pakistani comedian’s speedy recovery. He has been suffering from an illness for some time now. Umar’s son Jawad had said that his father was suffering from a heart disease and was undergoing treatment for which he was admitted to the hospital.
