In a confessional video statement on Nov 20, a suspected target killer in Karachi police custody had alleged that he had been in contact with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar. He had also claimed that he had a meeting with Murad Ali Shah as well.
During the interrogation, Yousuf alias Thelay Wala said, “I used to kill people on the orders of the party’s leadership.”
Yousaf also said that he met Farooq Sattar through MQM sector incharge Khalid Siddiqui and Nadeem Marble. Sattar used to make arrangements for him to hide at Nine Zero, he claimed.
He also revealed that he used to move the bodies of his victims to burial sites on a thela (cart). “I had also worked for a private security company,” he said.
Sattar, on the other hand, denied Yousuf’s claims and said that he was never Nine Zero’s caretaker. Amir Khan and Anis Qaimkhani were incharge, he remarked.
