I do not recognize the terrorist in police custody: Murad Shah
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Thursday said he did not even recognize the terrorist who had admitted that he had a meeting with Murad Shah as well.
To a query regarding his meeting with the terrorist, the Sindh chief minister said on Wednesday evening he came to know about the alleged confessional video of the terrorist. “(But) I do not know the person in police custody.” He said the terrorist was made to state that he met with him, which was false.
Murad Ali Shah said he had reached very closer to knowing that who was the mastermind behind the story. “It appears as if the relevant senior superintendent is involved in the conspiracy against me. I had summoned the Sindh IG and Additional IG on this matter and directed them to thoroughly investigate it,” he said.
He said the terrorist was in Rangers custody after he was arrested in 2017. He said he would also talk to the director general Sindh Rangers in this regard.

To another query, he said he came to know about the car with fake number plate through media.
“An FIR was registered against the car. Then, we came to know that it was a car of Governor House,” he said.
CM Murad said he would make changes to the cabinet as per his wishes and would not take any dictation in this regard.
“I am accountable to the assembly and the people.”
In a confessional video statement on Nov 20, a suspected target killer in Karachi police custody had alleged that he had been in contact with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar. He had also claimed that he had a meeting with Murad Ali Shah as well.
During the interrogation, Yousuf alias Thelay Wala said, “I used to kill people on the orders of the party’s leadership.”
Yousaf also said that he met Farooq Sattar through MQM sector incharge Khalid Siddiqui and Nadeem Marble. Sattar used to make arrangements for him to hide at Nine Zero, he claimed.
He also revealed that he used to move the bodies of his victims to burial sites on a thela (cart). “I had also worked for a private security company,” he said.
Sattar, on the other hand, denied Yousuf’s claims and said that he was never Nine Zero’s caretaker. Amir Khan and Anis Qaimkhani were incharge, he remarked.
