President of Pakistan Arif Alvi has presented himself to volunteer for relief work as heavy rains caused flooding in Islamabad.
Posting an old picture of his rescue work while he was on a boat, President Alvi said he was ready with his boat again. However, the caption on the picture that he shared, seems to be a sarcasm on himself.
“Islamabad is my city just like Karachi and all other lovely cities of Pakistan. I am confident that Islamabad’s administration are doing their job well but if need be, I am ready with my boat,” the president wrote on Twitter.
In 2017, when he was in opposition, Arif Alvi was seen rescuing people via boat in flood-affected areas of Karachi.
