Air pollution in Pakistan has risen to alarming levels, making Lahore one of the most polluted cities in the world.

According to the air index, the amount of polluted particles in the air of Lahore has reached 368 particulate meters, which makes it difficult for the citizens to breathe.

The report said that the pollution situation in other cities of Punjab is also worrisome where the number of polluted particles in the air of industrial city Faisalabad has reached 406 per cent more than Lahore.

According to the report, Karachi is also the third most polluted city in the world with 197 particulate matter levels recorded in the air.

Due to the bad weather, medical experts have instructed the citizens to use masks, keep the windows and doors of the houses closed and not to leave the house without any reason.
