A pair of rare breed of leopard has been spotted in Hazar Ganji, Koh-e-Chiltan, area of Balochistan.
The Forest and Wildlife department has released its pictures. The Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani sharing pictures of the leopard tweeted that the provincial government was taking measures for protection and conservation of wildlife.
Forest and Wildlife Department Chief Conservator Sharifuddin Baloch said the leopard found in Koh e Chiltan area was called Persian Leopard and the breed was mostly found from Iran to Central Asia and some parts of Balochistan and Sindh as well.
This breed has reportedly been sighted for the first time in Pakistan.
