ISLAMABAD: Raoof Hasan has been appointed as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting.
A notification in this regard was issued by the cabinet division on Friday.
Raoof Hasan in a tweet extended gratitude to all his friends and followers who had wished him well on appointment of the PM’s aide. “I owe it all to your trust in me which I hold very close to my heart. I look forward to staying in touch with you, my friends, and keep seeking your guidance to serve Pakistan. Bless you all,” he said.
Hasan has replaced Chairman China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa, who had relinquished the additional charge of the special assistant to prime minister on information and broadcasting on Oct 12.
In a tweet, Asim Saleem Bajwa had said he had requested Prime Minister Imran to relinquish him from the additional portfolio of special assistant on information & broadcasting. He had said the prime minister had approved his request.
