Raja Pervez Ashraf will take oath as Speaker NA today
The National Assembly session will convene at 12 noon today in which former Prime Minister and PPP leader Raja Pervez Ashraf will take oath as Speaker.
In today’s session of the National Assembly, there will be a vote on the no-confidence motion against Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri. There will be a secret vote on the no-confidence motion against the Qasim Suri.
Earlier, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri had adjourned the National Assembly session on April 9 till April 16 but later the date of the session was changed to April 22. Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker had also accepted the resignations of 123 dissident members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
After on the suggestion of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the National Assembly Secretariat convened the session on time today, the agenda of which has also been released.
