Qureshi expresses his continued support to Kashmiris

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi reiterated on Sunday that Pakistan is dedicated to providing political, diplomatic, and moral support to righteous and self-determined Kashmiris in their struggle.
In his statement, the Foreign Minister said, “We stand side by side with the Kashmiri brethren in their struggle for their right to self-determination.”
The Foreign Minister mentioned that a detailed dossier based on the irrefutable evidence of the cruelty and war crimes committed in the occupied
Kashmir has been exposed to the world, and the country has stated that it will continue to make a strong case against the Indian army’s cruelty in Kashmir.
“Kashmir has become a global issue rather than a regional one, and it must be resolved under United Nations resolutions,” FM urged the International community to put an end to the ongoing human rights violations in the IOK.

Speaking of the situation in Afghanistan, the Foreign Minister said that Pakistan prioritizes peace in his neighboring country, “we believe that if there is peace in Afghanistan, then there will be peace in the whole region”.
The world was witnessing our efforts to ensure peace in Afghanistan, he said, adding that Pakistan will continue its appeasing efforts for peace and stability in the region and Afghanistan.
He further added that the pandemic affected the world’s strongest economies, and amid the challenges, Pakistan was focusing on promoting economic cooperation, economic diplomacy, and strengthening regional ties.
Qureshi said that Pakistan’s economy was on the right track with uplifting economic signs. The Pakistanis have emerged as a strong nation after overcoming major challenges such as the coronavirus and terrorism.
“Significant progress has also been witnessed in the field of exports and agriculture. Due to effective policies of the incumbent government, sustainable development will continue in the public interest.”
Foreign Minister maintained that Pakistan would rise to prominence globally shortly as a result of its progressive policies. He stated that one of the government’s major concerns is the wellbeing of the Pakistani community abroad. Pakistani embassies worldwide were working to improve the lives of Pakistanis living abroad and find solutions to their concerns.
“I have directed diplomatic missions abroad to strive hard for the welfare of the Pakistani community therein,” the FM added.
