Quetta’s ancient gurdwara handed over to Sikh community after 73 years

The 200-year-old gurdwara in Quetta was handed over to the Sikh community again after 73 years.
The Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara building on Masjid Road in the center of the city was converted into a school after the formation of Pakistan due to the migration of Sikhs.
Chairman Sikh Community Balochistan Jasbir Singh says that it has become a charisma for the Sikh community. Gurdwara was opened in Quetta city by the government of Pakistan which was a great favor to us.
After the restoration of the Gurdwara, people of Sikh faith from not only Quetta but also from different cities of Balochistan come here to worship. The provincial government has also decided to restore dozens of other places of worship occupied by minority religions in the province.
The Sikh community in Balochistan expressed happiness over the restoration of the gurdwara, calling it the best example of religious harmony in Pakistan.
