Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said the province is planning to run 10,000 tests in a day for the novel coronavirus.
Punjab reported 2945 cases of coronavirus and 28 fatalities. The chief minister said Punjab did 43,000 coronavirus tests on Wednesday, local media announced. He further said field hospitals were also built with 4,500 beds.
Buzdar also announced that the province would soon open 8 new laboratories.
Meanwhile, lockdown controls have been relaxed for the province. All stores, shopping centers, restaurants and offices must remain closed. Community transit will remain suspended.
