Punjab to provide financial help to artists amid coronavirus lockdown
In the midst of the ongoing coronavirus epidemic, the Punjab Government has declared a financial assistance package for the artists facing struggle.
The Punjab Department of Information and Culture has started to prepare a financial aid package for the artists after approval from the Punjab government.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar in a statement on Tuesday said, “The Punjab government will help 3,000 artists.”
He added that the artists would get Rs15,000 to Rs20,000 financial aid.
Earlier, the Punjab administration allowed routine businesses to operate in the province and permitted the opening of utility stores from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
All the textile industries will soon become operational, while other small businesses will be allowed to operate, including barbers.
Whereas within the specified working hours, textile-related industries and small businesses can operate easily.
In addition, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar had launched the Social Security and Economic Revival Response for Post COVID 19 of the Punjab Government, “RISE Punjab.”
In response to Post-COVID 19, chaired by CM Punjab at 90 Shahra, Lahore, Chief Minister Office has scheduled a high-powered meeting on the Government’s proposal for Punjab’s future economic growth strategy.
Nevertheless, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Pakistan rose Tuesday to 21,501.
