The government of Punjab has agreed to create field hospitals at its parks to treat patients who have contracted COVID-19.
Asif Mehmood, the chairperson of the Parks and Horticulture Authority, said that when the pressure on hospitals rises, these field hospitals will act as quarantine centres.
He said that he had given orders to different city administrators to obey those directives.
Hilal-e-Ahmar has constructed a 200-bed field hospital at a park in Rawalpindi.
“These hospital will be used for treating the coronavirus,” said Hilal-e-Ahmar chairperson Abrarul Haq.
ICU beds and ventilators are available at the hospital, he said.
