Punjab health department suspends 18 officials for selling covid-19 vaccines
LAHORE: The Punjab Primary and Secondary Health Department have suspended 18 officials for selling covid-19 vaccines.
The 18 officials have been identified as Nawaz Joban, Sajjad Ali, Muhammad Tanvir, Babar Ali, Karamat Ali, Amjad Ali, Taimur Fayyaz, Muhammad Yousuf, Faqir Hussain, and others.
Despite of the directions of providing the vaccines free at all government hospital, these officials were found selling vaccines at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI).
However, a notification has been issued in this regard.
Moreover, the federal government is providing vaccines to the province free of cost.
Pakistan has reported 3,232 positive cases of covid-19 with 74 deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
Total 36,725 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as the positivity percentage was measured at 8.80%.
