Punjab govt shuts down schools in four more districts
The Punjab government has announces the closure of schools in four more districts due to the rising positivity rate of covid-19.
A notification released by the Punjab School Education Department reads that, ‘physical classes in Okara, Bhakar, Jhang, and Khanewal have been suspended’.
Moreover, students of class one to eight have been directed to stay home till Eid. The classes will commence after Eid.
However, those students who are preparing for the matriculation and intermediate exams shall go to school twice in a week.
According to Punjab Education Minister, Murad Raas classes for grades nine to 12 will be conducted on Mondays and Thursdays only with 50% attendance.
