Punjab Assembly session adjourned till tomorrow

Lahore: Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervaiz Elahi has adjourned the session of Punjab Assembly till tomorrow (Sunday) 11:30 AM. The Punjab Assembly will elect a new Chief Minister tomorrow.
The Governor Punjab had directed to convene a meeting of the Assembly for the election of the Chief Minister of Punjab, after which the process of election of a new Leader of the House was started in the Assembly today.
The Speaker Punjab Assembly has fixed April 3 for the election of the Chief Minister.
The Speaker has adjourned the sitting of the Assembly till 11.30 am tomorrow in which the Chief Minister will be elected.
According to the schedule, the candidates themselves or their nominees can submit their nomination papers before 5 pm, after which scrutiny will take place.
Since Pervez Elahi himself is the Chief Ministerial candidate, he will ask the Deputy Speaker to perform his duties to complete the process.
Hamza Shahbaz is the Chief Ministerial candidate from the United Opposition while the Prime Minister has nominated Pervez Elahi as the Chief Minister of Punjab.
