Public gatherings including wedding ceremonies banned

KARACHI: The Sindh and Punjab governments have banned public gatherings including wedding ceremonies in Karachi and Lahore respectively.
While the marriage halls in Karachi have shown no sign that they would not hold a wedding event. The Shadi Hall Association has said that they had not yet received a written decision in this regard, therefore they could not decide if they should close the lawns or not.

“The Sindh government has banned public gatherings and wedding ceremonies at lawns for three weeks in Karachi,” said Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab.
While, the Punjab government has banned wedding ceremonies at halls for three weeks in Lahore. Shadi Hall Association has assured of full cooperation with the government amid fear of coronavirus.
The Sindh government has established Isolation Centers in various cities of the province.
According to Spokesman of the Sindh Government Murtaza Wahab, isolation centres had been established in Civil Hospital Karachi, Lyari General Hospital, Dow Ojha Campus Karachi, LUMHS Hyderabad, LUMHS Jamshoro, Peoples Medical College SBA, Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College Sukkur, Chandka Medical College Larkana and Gambat Institute of Medical Science Khairpur.
