PTV to telecast famous Turkish drama serial Ertugrul Gazi from Ramadan 1

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday said that the renowned historical Turkish drama Ertugrul Gazi will be broadcast on PTV with Urdu dubbing from first of Ramazan.
In a series of tweets, she said the drama was being broadcast on the instruction of Prime Minister Imran Khan. It will be aired daily on PTV Home at 9:10 pm.

“Pakistan and Turkey are intertwined in deep brotherly religious, cultural and civilizational bonds. This drama serial will help Pakistani people to understand the Islamic history, culture and civilization of that era,” she said.
In Dec 2019, Prime Minister Imran Khan had said that all of the drama serial’s five seasons should be dubbed in Urdu so that the general public could watch and understand.
According to Arab News, the Prime Minister made sure that the drama would be accessible to everyone as he made a special request to PTV to air the show.
Shazia Sikander, PTV Director for International Relations had revealed that, “PTV has got exclusive rights for dubbing and screening it in Pakistan.”
