PTI’s Asad Umar admits disagreement within party over dissolution of Punjab, KP assemblies

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Asad Umar has admitted that there was a difference of opinion among the party members regarding the dissolution of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assemblies, sources said.
In a statement, PTI leader said that some party members are in favor of dissolving assemblies immediately while some are against the decision.
Umar added that some of the party members are in favor of two to three months of extension in dissolving assemblies.
Earlier in a statement on Twitter, PTI Senior Vice-President Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that assemblies of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) would be dissolved if the ruling coalition failed to come with the election date by Dec 20.
“If the PDM [Pakistan Democratic Movement coalition government] does not bring forward a final formula on general election, then the Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa assemblies will be dissolved. And, the process of elections will be completed in these two provinces before March 20,” he said.
He alleged that the elders of the ‘imported government did not want elections, but having no idea how to run the country, as countries could not be run by installing ministers and conducting foreign tours.
