PTI to resume ‘Haqiqi Azadi March’ at 12pm today

PTI Chief Imran Khan at the end of the first day of Haqiqi Azadi March announced that the long march would resume its journey towards the Islamabad at 12pm from Shahdara, outside Lahore.

The PTI’s long march will resume today from Shahdara area of Lahore which ended at the same place last night.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan concluded the first day of the long march towards Islamabad at Data Darbar in Lahore.

After reaching Data Darbar Lahore, he said in the address that we were supposed to reach Shahdara at night but the people of Lahore welcomed us overwhelmingly.

In his address Khan stressed that one should not bow down to any kind of idol including fear and money, adding that, “we should all promise that we will not let Arshad Sharif’s sacrifice go to waste.”

The PTI chief reiterated his stance, saying the long march was neither for politics nor was it a regular movement. Instead, it is a “jihad” for real freedom, he stressed.

During his speech at Ichra, the second stop of PTI, Khan reiterated that he will never accept slavery, challenging the authorities concerned to try to stop the tsunami of the people.

In his first interaction with Long March attendees, PTI Chairman Imran Khan while referring to joint press conference of military’s top brass said that DG ISI’s press conference was more political than Awami Muslim League’s (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed.

PTI chairman said that his march was not for politics or personal interest but to make nation free from slavery.

“Our decisions should not be taken in Washington, but the decisions of Pakistan should be taken in Pakistan and by the people of Pakistan,” he added.

Referring to yesterday’s press conference of military’s top officials, Imran Khan warned that he was silent for the betterment of country and its institutions.

Khan said, “I am not a fugitive like Nawaz Sharif, I live here [Pakistan] and die here too, further adding that, “our criticism is constructive criticism as I want an independent Army.”
