PTI to move Court against Maryam for accusing Imran of blasphemy
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday decided to move court against PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz for falsely accusing party’s chief Imran Khan of Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) blasphemy.
Following Imran Khan’s speech, PML-N’s leader posted two statements of him with Quranic verses and compared both of them.
“This man (Imran) is using religion for his politics and promoting his false narrative. Save your faith and the country from this Satan” she captioned the tweet.
According to PTI, after Maryam Nawaz’s tweet, a twitter trend was started against Khan, targeting him for accusing blasphemy followed with over 60,000 tweets targeting party’s chief.
Following Maryam Nawaz’s tweet, PTI senior vice president Fawad Chaudhry said: “We will take legal action against Maryam Nawaz for using the tool of blasphemy to endanger the life of Imran Khan.”
Later, PTI social media team came forward to encounter Maryam Nawaz’s narrative against Imran Khan by sharing former prime minister’s speeches and interviews from United Nations (UN), International media and local media regarding Islamophobia.
