ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz on Tuesday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would form the government in Gilgit-Baltistan with the support of coalition partners and independent candidates.
“Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur is in contact with the victorious independent candidates,” Shibli Faraz said talking to a local news channel.
To a query, Shibli Faraz said the name of candidate for the GB chief minister would be announced after consultation.
On the allegations levelled by the opposition parties, he said Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari should bring solid evidence of rigging, if any, in the election.
The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have accused the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf of rigging election in Gilgit-Baltistan.
In a tweet, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had said that election in GB had been stolen. No clear mandate was given so far despite unfair election, he had said adding that the PTI even did not have a candidate for the post of chief minister.
While, addressing people of GB in a tweet, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz had said that the game of puppets was soon going to end, so you must not lose hope from the rigging.
