PTI Supremo Imran Khan turns 70 today

PTI supremo and former Prime Minister Imran Khan turned 70 today (October 5) and was greeted by party leaders, supporters and fans on social media.

#HappyBirthdayImranKhan became the top Twitter trend in Pakistan as people took to the popular microblogging site to wish the most popular leader on his birthday.

In recognition of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s 70th birthday, PTI has initiated a “kindness drive.”

PTI has asked its supporters and Khan’s fans to show goodwill to people on Imran Khan’s birthday. PTI gave advice to its fans on deeds of compassion, suggesting that Imran Khan supporters visit hospitalised patients. They can visit orphanages to interact with the children there and donate to their preferred charity.

As Chairman PTI @ImranKhanPTI’s birthday is nearing (5th October), let’s perform an act of kindness as tribute to the legend.

Imran Khan’s Life:

The PTI Chairman received education from Aitchison College and the Cathedral School in Lahore and then got admission at the Royal Grammar School, Worcester, before completing his education with an undergraduate degree in Economics from Keble College, Oxford University.

Khan made his debut for Pakistan cricket team at the age of 18 during the 1971 English series at Birmingham. He left cricket at the pinnacle of his sports career after winning the 1992 World Cup for country.

Imran Khan gained the love and respect of the country as a cricketer and humanitarian before entering politics. He established the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.

On April 25, 1996, Imran Khan formed his own political party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

By winning a seat in the National Assembly in 2002, he served as an opposition member from Mianwali until 2007.
