PTI MNA boycotts budget session over ignoring Lyari
KARACHI: A Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) MNA from Karachi’s Lyari area, Abdul Shakoor Shad has announced to boycott the National Assembly session of Federal Budget 2021 on Friday.
He decided not to go to Islamabad to attend the session after Prime Minister Imran Khan rejected his request to allocate funds for his constituency.
Abdul Shakoor Shad said that despite losing the elections, the Sindh government had announced a package for the area. He alleged that the centre had no interest in the issues faced by the residents of Karachi and Sindh.
The PTI MNA did not go to Islamabad to attend the federal budget session which will start at 4:00pm today.
Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the Economic Survey 2021 did not mention about poverty and unemployment because those things saw record rise during the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI)’s government.
“Poverty rose to record high in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, therefore the economic survey did not talk about it. This is the real face of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s change,” Bilawal Zardari said in a statement on Economic Survery 2021.
He said that concealing the figures of joblessness and making excuses for inflation was not a solution to the problem. He asked how could the public issues be resolved if they were not pointed out properly in the economic survey.
