PTI issues guidelines to lawmakers concerning election of new PM
PTI wrote a letter to its lawmakers regarding the election of the new Prime Minister. A letter has been written to PTI members by party secretary general Asad Umar instructing them to elect a new prime minister according to party’s guidelines.
The letter said that all members of the National Assembly would be present in the House during the election of the Prime Minister.
The letter directed PTI members to vote for their prime ministerial candidate Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while those who did not vote were warned to take action under Article 63A against a member who did not follow party policy, under which he/she will be dismissed from the party and disqualified from the National Assembly seat.
The letter further said that the meeting of the PTI parliamentary party will be held at 12 noon, so the members should ensure their participation in the meeting.
