PTI asks ECP to assign ‘Lota’ to coalition govt as election symbol

The PTI has written a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to allot “lota” as an election symbol to ruling party candidates after they announced an electoral alliance for the upcoming by-elections on the 20 vacant seats in Punjab.
PTI Central Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry has written a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner in this regard stating that the parties fighting against each other are moving towards an electoral alliance. The parties fighting against each other are moving towards an electoral alliance all these parties must be considered as an electoral entity.
Fawad Chaudhry further said in the letter that these parties should be barred from individual election symbols and given a common election symbol and urged to assign ‘Lota’ as an election symbol to ruling party candidates.
