PTI approaches IHC seeking permit to hold March in Islamabad

PTI leader Ali Nawaz Awan filed a petition with the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday for permission to hold the party’s Long March in the federal capital.
The petition was filed by party’s Islamabad President Ali Nawaz Awan, in which the Ministry of Interior, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and IG Islamabad have been made parties.
The petition reads that, the petitioner approached the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad for the permission to hold PTI’s Haqiqi Azadi March.
A letter was written on October 26 but no NOC has been provided yet, according to the Supreme Court decision, PTI can hold long march on Srinagar highway, petition added.
“The court should orders to Deputy Commissioner Islamabad to issue NOC and also orders to stop harassing PTI workers and leader,” petition said.
Earlier, PTI leader Ali Nawaz Awan and counsel Babar Awan reached the office of the deputy commissioner, seeking a no objection certificate (NOC) for the party’s long march and sit-in.
The party once again requested the Islamabad administration for permission for the long march and a sit-in in the federal capital.
The PTI has asked to stage a sit-in between G-9 and H-9 on November 4
