KARACHI: In a post-Pakistan Stock Exchange attack press conference, Director General Sindh Rangers Maj Gen Umer Ahmed Bukhari on Monday said that terrorists were wiped out in eight minutes.
“The militants arrived at the entrance of the building at 10:02 am and by 10:10 they were completely wiped out,” said Maj Gen Umer Bukhari while addressing the media in Karachi along with Karachi Police Chief Ghulam Nabi Memon.
He said the attack could not be carried out without help of a foreign spy agency and ostensibly Indian spy agency, RAW, was embroiled in the incident. Frustration of the Indian spy agency was well established before you, he said. Terrorists could not find a place to carry out the attack, he added.

The director general Sindh Rangers said the four terrorists opened firing in a bid to enter the edifice. An aborted attempt was made at disturbing the peace in the megalopolis, he maintained.
“The terrorists wanted to send a message to the world that Pakistan is not a safe country,” he said. Despite the attack, he said, business at the stock exchange continued to flourish.
Intelligence agencies of Pakistan had reportedly warned about a possible terrorist attack in Karachi.
Umer Ahmed Bukhari said that the attack resembled the attack on the Chinese consulate in Karachi.
At least 10 people including four terrorists and one police officer were killed in exchange of fire on Monday as militants tried to storm into the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in Karachi.
Security forces foiled the attack on the PSX by killing all the terrorists.
According to details, four terrorists tried to enter Pakistan Stock Exchange building this morning using latest weapons and hand grenades. However, timely action of the security forces thwarted the attempt.
