KARACHI: The opening ceremony of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 kicked off at Karachi’s National Stadium on Thursday.
The ceremony began with a speech by Ahmed Godil followed by the national anthem. The PSL’s journey in the form of an augmented reality was narrated by Shahzad Nawaz.
An instrumental version of the official PSL 2020 anthem was also performed in the musical part of the ceremony.

The next performance was Abrar-ul-Haq’s, after which legendary Rahat Fateh Ali Khan hyped the audience with his vocals. Final act of the ceremony saw the stage taken over by Ali Azmat, Haroon Rashid, Asim Azhar and Arif Lohar, who sang Tayyar Hain, the official anthem of PSL 2020.
The glittering ceremony ended, as planned, with a sparkling fireworks display.
