KARACHI: Peshawar Zalmi Head Coach Daren Sammy and all-rounder Ravi Bopara have arrived in Karachi to participate in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6.
Video messages of both the cricketers are shared by Peshawar Zalmi on its Twitter account.
“Assalamoalaikum Pakistan! It is good to be back here for PSL 6. Even though I would not be playing… (however) I am so excited to be the head coach of Peshawar Zalmi. My message for you is ‘continue being safe as we are trying to fight this covid thing. Be safe, observe the protocol’,” Daren Sammy said in a video message.
He said they would try to entertain the audience as usual.
With his eyes on the trophy, Ravi Bopara shared how well his experience had been with Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans before joining Peshawar Zalmi.
“I just landed here in Pakistan, Karachi. It is great to be here and I am familiar with Pakistan now after playing PSL here for last two years. This time I am with Peshawar Zalmi so I am looking forward to joining my new team.
“I have had some good years with Karachi and so a very good year with Multan,” he said in a video message.
PSL season 6 is starting on Feb 20 (Saturday) in Karachi.
