LAHORE: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Saturday said a proposal to resume Railways operations will be sent to Federal Government after a couple of days again as people were facing transport issues.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore, he has expressed the hope that Railways operations will resume before Eid-ul-Fitr.
The minister said Pakistan Railways suffered a loss of around five billion rupees during the last one month due to lockdown situation to contain spread of Coronavirus.

To a question, the Railways Minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will take action against anyone involved in sugar scandal.
On May 8, Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had expressed the hope that Pakistan Railways would restore passenger train operations across the country before Eid.
The minister had said in a video message that the passenger train operations would be restored once Prime Minister Imran Khan gave permission.
“As a democratic Prime Minister, Imran Khan had left the matter for consideration for further two to three days”, he had added.
