PESHAWAR: An inquiry has been launched against Ajmal Wazir for his alleged involvement in taking illegal commission from an advertisement agency, after his audio conversation with an official of the company was leaked.
Ajmal Wazir has been defenestrated as advisor to KP chief minister on information following surfacing of the audio . Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Mahmood Khan ordered an inquiry against the ex-advisor.
Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Kamran Bangash has replaced Ajmal Wazir as CM’s advisor for information.

Bangash said that Wazir was removed from his post after surfacing of the leaked audio in which things related to taking kickback from the company was revealed. He said a forensic investigation will be launched against him.
On the other hand, Ajmal Wazir said that he had submitted his resignation to the CM for personal reasons.
Pakistan Peoples Party KP Secretary for Information Rubina Khalid said the incident had revealed true face of those who were criticizing on the Sindh government. She said days of the incompetent government were numbered. She said ‘tsunami and change’ had ruined KP. The ministers have started leveling allegations on others rather than giving performance, she maintained.
