LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Sardar Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar on Wednesday said that prime suspect of the molestation and killing of children in Chunian had been arrested.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, he said the case of the killing of children will be proceeded in the Anti-Terrorism Court.
The chief minister said that geo-fencing of 1,649 suspects were conducted while the DNA test of 1543 suspected people were also conducted.
The suspect Sohail Shehzad’s DNA had matched with the samples obtained from the victims Faizan and Ali Hassan’s clothes. The suspect had subjected the first child to physical abuse in June. He had already served five years in jail.

Three children were identified through DNA of their bones, while another was identified through DNA of his body.
The rape-slay suspect has been sent to judicial remand for 15 days.
Sardar Usman Buzdar said he would personally monitor the progress on the case and justice will be provided to the victim family at all costs.
He also announced to set up Child Protection Center in Chunian.
After seven-year-old Zainab Ansari’ rape and murder incident last year in January, the horror in Kasur continues as a body of a minor boy who went missing last month and the skeletal remains of two other boys were found from the same area in Kasur’s Chunian on Sept 17.
The Police had said that they had registered five complaints of missing children who had gone missing from various areas of Kasur in the last three months. The one was identified as the boy whose body was found the other day.
The skeletal remains of two other boys had been sent to a lab for testing, police had said.
