Prime Minister will leave for a four-day visit to China tomorrow
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will leave for a four-day visit to China tomorrow where he will stay till February 6. During the visit, the Prime Minister will meet the Chinese President and Prime Minister. However, the main purpose of his visit is to participate in the Olympics in China.
According to the Foreign Office Spokesperson, the bilateral relations will be reviewed during the meetings with the Chinese President and Prime Minister. The leadership of both countries will review regional and global issues. The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high level delegation including members of the Cabinet and senior government officials.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will sign several MOUs and agreements during his visit to China. The Prime Minister will also attend the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games.
A few days ago, Federal Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had informed about the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to China, after which the news was circulating that a loan of $3 billion would be taken from China. The Economic Affairs Division later denied the allegations.
According to the Foreign Minister, the main purpose of the Prime Minister’s visit is to participate in the Olympics held in China. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that you are aware that some countries have boycotted the Olympics, Pakistan and China have stood by each other in every difficult time, the main purpose of the visit to China is to express solidarity.
