Prime Minister beware of his advisers: Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi

PML-Q Punjab President and Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi said that he has requested the Prime Minister to be careful with his advisers.

The Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervaiz Elahi in his message to the Prime Minister said, the Prime Minister has given me the task of resolving issues between media houses and the government regarding PECA Ordinance.

Speaker Punjab Assembly said that freedom of expression is the beauty of democracy, I wonder why media houses are being targeted by PTI.

Pervaiz Elahi added that the advisers to the Prime Minister were creating a gap between the government and media by misrepresentation. The Prime Minister is requested to be careful with his advisers.

Speaker Punjab Assembly said that there are reports of PTI members being barred from appearing in the media.

Pervaiz Elahi also expressed concern over the closure of advertisements in some newspapers and media houses, saying that the ban on advertisements was apparently imposed in the context of PECA Ordinance, government advertisements are public money and should not be used to target certain newspapers and channels.
