Prices of life-saving drugs rise in the country

The federal cabinet formally approved an increase in the prices of 94 life-saving drugs. Injections of coronaviruses have been made cheaper.

The prices of medicines used in various emergencies including cancer, blood pressure, heart disease, and maternity have been increased in the country.

The anti-rabies vaccine will also be available at a higher price than before. Following the approval of the federal cabinet, the Ministry of Health has formally announced an increase in prices.

Special Health Assistant Dr. Faisal Sultan explained the reason for the increase in the prices of medicines and said that the prices of medicines which were in short supply have been increased.

The number of these drugs is 94. He said that these medicines should be available in Pakistan at a normal price, better price, and quality.

The cost of injections used to break the force of the virus has been reduced from Rs 10,000 to Rs 8,400.
